Meet the Speaker
Dr Carmen Ng
Dr Carmen Ng is the Social and Elderly Wellness Director of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS), overseeing senior housing and related services, and steering the formulation of strategies and new initiatives in aspects involving provision of holistic support for quality living, advocacy of gerontechnology, and promotion of intergenerational harmony, in creation of age-friendly living environments for seniors to age-in-place.
Before joining HKHS, Dr Ng had held leadership roles in various social services organisations, such as the Head of Consumer Education of the Hong Kong Consumer Council, Secretary-General of the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund of the Labour and Welfare Bureau, Executive Director of the HK Alzheimer’s Disease Association, and Chief Operating Officer of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, where she had developed new service models in response to the changing needs of the elderly and the society at large.
