Mr Mark Wee

Executive Director, Designing Your Life Institute (DYLi)
Mark is a design thinking and experience design pioneer in Singapore who believes that good design can change the world, and that creativity is the key to Singapore’s future. He passionately believes that everyone should be able to design a meaningful and purposeful life, and that a design mindset is the key.

Mark was previously the Executive Director of the Design Singapore Council from 2018-2022, where he led the Council in driving and implementing national policies on design to make Singapore an innovation-driven economy and a more loveable city. Since leaving public service, Mark has redesigning his own life into an exciting portfolio career.
Also an award winning architect and a practicing artist, Mark illustrates his view of the world around him in his own colorful and childlike style, and also still selectively practices under his firm ANNEX A. Mr Joshua Hong

Joshua Hong is the Deputy Director at Republic Polytechnic's the School of Technology for the Arts, Media, and Design. With 15 years of experience in the media industry as a business owner, he has directed and produced a diverse range of television programmes and films—including documentaries, sports, lifestyle, drama, movies, and comedies—that have been seen by audiences across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
Joshua Hong is the Deputy Director at Republic Polytechnic's the School of Technology for the Arts, Media, and Design. With 15 years of experience in the media industry as a business owner, he has directed and produced a diverse range of television programmes and films—including documentaries, sports, lifestyle, drama, movies, and comedies—that have been seen by audiences across the USA, Europe, and Asia.
For the past decade, Joshua has been dedicated to teaching media and enterprise-based modules at Republic Polytechnic, where he mentors aspiring media professionals. He also leads the "Designing Your Life" programmes for adult learners in the Continuing Education and Training (CET) space at Republic Polytechnic. Joshua was instrumental in the programme’s adoption by National Service Full-time (NSF) servicemen from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and Singapore Police Force (SPF). Passionate about nurturing talent, he is deeply committed to developing the next generation of industry leaders.
As a devoted husband and father, Joshua is passionate about creating a balanced and meaningful life. Guided by his faith, he actively contributes to and serves in his faith-based community, believing in the power of service to inspire and uplift others. He also finds joy in performing music with fellow musicians, sharing his love for creativity and collaboration.
Joshua believes in designing your life—a purpose-driven approach that has shaped both his personal and professional journey. By weaving intention into everything he does, he has not only transformed his own path but has also empowered those he mentors to find clarity, direction, and fulfilment in their lives.
