Mrs Pauline Ong
Mrs Pauline Ong is an Active Ageing Advisor for ASPIRE55. Originally from Shanghai, she has lived in Singapore since the age of 8. A pharmacist from, then, University of Singapore, she has had worked in London with Boots. From 1971-1976, she changed her career to DBS. In 1978, she returned to her profession, and built Guardian Pharmacy (of Cold Storage Group) from one to a chain of 63, and a trading arm. In 1992, she set up her own consultancy, and was much sort after by Asia’s retail pharmacy chains. 1998-December of 2016 she switched her energy and studied to be a volunteer museum guide (Docent) at 5 of NHB Museums and the Indian Heritage Center. From 2002, she is the Advisor (especially for patients’ rights and care) to Alexandra, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospitals. From 2017-2019, she co-chaired the Place Making Committee of Woodlands Health Campus (ready 2022). In 2005, she was awarded the Distinguished Science Alumni (NUS). Pauline, who is a grandmother, sings with two Methodist Choirs.
